My love for children and postpartum work began early in life.  As a teenager, I assisted my older sister as her birth doula and learned quickly that the only way I could get time with my nephew was by offering to change his diapers, entertain him, bathe and put him down for a nap. I was my sister’s mother’s helper at age 13.

After moving to Seattle and adjusting to a new environment, I found I missed having children in my life. Being one of five kids and having older siblings with children, I was naturally inclined to childcare. In my first year here, I took a nanny job for infant twins and have gone on to provide nanny care from birth to tweens, multiples, and preemies. I have worked with dozens of Seattle families in both short and long-term contracts.  I have a passion for working with newborns, and I completed Bastyr’s Birth and Postpartum training and Advanced Newborn Care Specialist class with Newborn Care Solutions. I am CACHE certified.

There are times when we need somebody to help us, and parents are no exception. As a Newborn Care Specialist, I will provide supportive services to make transitioning into parenthood that much easier. Every family is different, and in my range of experiences, I have tailored a unique approach to the care and development of each child.
